The Fracas of sight disabilities is highly intriguing. Many times I attempt to understand how persons with such conditions feel and how they see the world. My sentiment towards sight disabilities date back over two decades and it has left an in-print on my appearance; consistently wearing fashion glasses for over a decade. No doubt this has an impact on the movement 'IN-SIGHT' but the real fillip is recent events of reflection on issues around Judgement, perception and literacy.

Beyond the canvas and the illustrated, The In-Sight Project is committed to fostering dialogue and understanding around the limitation every human shares as far as knowledge is concerned. The question of sight is the question of knowledge and perception: what we see and what we don't, and how we see what we see. Seeing is actually a function of an unseen organ. The physical Eye is only a gateway by which the brain reads and relates with the outside world. The mind works very similarly. There is what the Yorubas call 'Oju Inu' which means the inner Eye. The process of reading stimulus and reacting or responding is where the real sight lies. Understanding this gives a landing ground of equality to all.

The artworks featured in The In-Sight Project not only serve as a showcase of talent but also as a powerful catalyst for change. Each painting skillfully illustrates a different aspect of sight disabilities, capturing the nuances of navigating a world that is often not designed with inclusion in mind. From the struggles of daily tasks to the beauty found in alternative modes of perception, these pieces invite viewers to step into the shoes of those with visual impairments and gain a deeper appreciation for their unique perspectives.

Central to The In-Sight Project's mission is the idea of using art as a force for good. In addition to raising awareness, the project also aims to generate funds for disability-focused NGOs through the sale of the featured art pieces. By harnessing the power of creativity to drive social impact, The In-Sight Project exemplifies the potential of art to effect meaningful change in the world.

In addition to its current offerings, the project envisions establishing an art store dedicated solely to disability-related artworks, further amplifying the voices of individuals with visual impairments. Through these initiatives, The In-Sight Project seeks to not only raise awareness but also advocate for inclusion and accessibility in society at large.
